Sydenham Office
The client wanted to have a complete makeover of their existing office. The space had several issues, It was dark there was half walls that separated the staff from working together, there was not enough storage for office documents and staff personal belongings, becasue of the layout it didn’t allow for company growth and it was tired and uninspiring.
However the client had a limited budget and also needed to transform a office kitchen and bathroom.
The redesign was to completely open the space and bring it back to bare walls. We then would use off the shelf desk and storage systems which were budget friendly but incorporated a drawer storage units for each member of staff to hold supplies and personal belongings. We specified a durable commercial carpet tile, simple white paint and modern light fittings that delivered impact and were in budget. The strip pendant lights allowed each desk to have the right overhead light to brighten the office during dark winters.
One of the existing issues was a lack of having a breakout space or a meeting area. The redesign incorporated a relaxed sofa breakout area which could also be used as a waiting area for the clients who would visit and and a meeting table that could also be used for contracting staff, lunch breaks and client product demonstrations.
A simple custom insulated curtain would be installed in the ceiling which could be used to make the area private from the rest of the office when needed but also open the whole space so they could have large meetings.
Both the kitchen and bathroom were redesigned to be bought up to date but as budget friendly was possible.
